Why not buy jam in the grocery store? Why not buy bread in a bag. Sometimes I do. But my favorite thing is when I can make something by hand in the kitchen WITH those I love FOR those I love.

Love is found in my homemade recipes. If love had a taste, it would taste like sweet strawberry jam, or thick marinara sauce. Homemade things take time, and like most people I don't have a lot of time. Yet, the reward comes with the delicious taste and the knowledge (and satisfaction) of knowing exactly what's in your food.
This blog is designed mostly for myself--as a way of keeping my recipes accessible and organized--as well as tweaking them. But I also hope to pass down these recipes to another crazy busy person looking to enrich their lives by cooking in the kitchen.
